Queen Anne School Track
and Field Coaching Staff
The coaches of the Queen Anne School Track and Field program
combine a wide background of experience and talent with a relentless work ethic,
as they continue to lead a group of stellar athletes in an ever-growing
successful athletic program. Together,
these coaches have produced 11 PVAC Champion teams, including 4 consecutive
Girls Varsity PVAC Championships from 2002-2005, and 34 individual event PVAC
Champions. Under their tutelage, 6
athletes have been named Most Outstanding Performer of the PVAC. Currently, QAS athletes and relays hold 9
PVAC Conference Records.

Mike Fox-Boyd graduated from Wesleyan University in 2001 with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. While at Wesleyan, he was member of the Varsity Cross-Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track teams for all four years, captaining all three as a senior. He earned All-NESCAC, All-ECAC, and All-New England honors in both Indoor and Outdoor Track. He was named MVP of the Indoor Track team as a junior, and MVP of the XC team as a senior. Additionally, he was named Sportsperson of the Year for Wesleyan in 2001. He attended high school at The Harley School in Rochester, NY. As a 2 year captain of both XC and Track, he helped lead the XC team to two consecutive NYSPHSAA Section V championships in 1995 and 1996, and led the team to a berth in the NY State XC Meet in 1996, where they placed 9th. He was named a Section V All-Star three times in Cross-Country, and earned team MVP honors in both XC and Track for three years. He has been coaching Track and XC at both the middle school and varsity level at Queen Anne since 2001. He is also the Chair of the Math Department at Queen Anne.

Luqman Kolade graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a major in Environmental Sciences and a focus in African American Studies. He was a 4 year varsity member of the track team and earned multiple All-Ivy and All-East Coast honors. He was also a member of the record setting Ivy League Championship 4x400 team in 2002. He was a 3 sport athlete at Gonzaga College High School and 2 year captain of the Varsity Track Team. He currently holds both the 300 hurdle and 400 hurdle records at Gonzaga and was the Most Valuable Performer of the WCAC Championship meet his senior year. In addition, he was also an Honorable Mention All-Met selection on two occasions. He has been coaching both middle and upper school track at Queen Anne since 2004 and has coached a number of conference champions in both the hurdles and the jumps. He has also coached basketball (middle school, JV and Varsity) and he also teaches English.

Kaersten Mehlin graduated from Kenyon College in 2005 as a double major in Music and Spanish Literature. While teaching Spanish at Queen Anne, she has been the assistant middle school girls soccer coach, head middle school girls lacrosse coach and assistant middle and upper school track coach.

Dave Montgomery graduated with distinction from Duke University in 2002 with a double major in English and Physics. At Ridge High School in NJ, he was a multi-year 3-sport varsity athlete. He captained the Group II NJ State Championship Cross Country team, started on the varsity basketball team, and was the leading high jumper on the track and field team. He has been coaching at Queen Anne since 2002, and has been the Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach and Varsity Boys and Girls Track and Field Head Coach since 2005. He also teaches English at Queen Anne.
