Autodesk’s AutoCAD has become the building and design industry’s standard for CAD work.  It is extremely powerful and used by more designers worldwide that any other program.  Whether an architect, civil engineer, biomedical engineer, robotics, auto/aviation designer, or any profession that involves design and manufacturing – this is the program to know and understand.

This class is designed for the highly, self-motivated student interested in architecture or any form of engineering.  The program resides on computer lab equipment and is available to the students during their specified class-time or any other time they or the lab is available.  The course instructor facilitates by designing assignments, reviewing and critiquing drawings and designs, and motivating the students to learn in an independent working seminar.  Assessment is accomplished through several portfolio presentations, both in print and electronic format.

This class is available to 11th and 12th graders and pre-approved 10th graders on a semester-by-semester basis. Students will begin with CAD 1 and may continue with CAD 2, & 3….etc…..there is no end to the learning opportunities in this course.

This class offers the option of either an Art Credit or a Technology credit.
