HEALTH
Health is a seventh grade course that meets for one trimester.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of the course is to introduce the student to good health practices.

Mental and
Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs
Physical Activity and Weight Management
Basic First Aid and CPR skills with emphasis on Baby Sitting skills
GRADING POLICY
A letter grade will be given for this course. Grades will be based on class participation,
completion of projects, quizzes and one long term assignment.
Most work will be assigned for completion during class. However, if homework is assigned, it is due
at the beginning of class the next day that the class meets. Long term assignment is due on the due date assigned.
Pop
quizzes will be given at the discretion of the instructor.
Quizzes 40% of grade and Long Term Assignment 60% of grade.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Students are expected to be on time to class and prepared with their planner, notebook paper, pencils, and assignments. Each student will need a folder inside his or her binder in which to keep handouts and paper.
Number 2 pencils sharpened with erasers. (no mechanical
pencils)
Pens (dark
blue or black ink only) (no erasable pens)
Only dark blue or black ink will be
accepted for assignments, planners, and quizzes.
